Holy hell. After nearly 170 wipes the bastard finally went down (and we thought Al’Akir was bad? Hah!). Not a moment too soon, after about 300 dark phases as a feral cat my brain was slowly starting to turn into sludge. To whoever designed that fight; I shall haunt you when I die.
That is all.
It took some wipe nights to get poor old Neffy right, but we did it :) The fight was especially exciting for me, as I was put on interrupt duty while not being hit capped… Luckily that won’t be an issue anymore in 4.1, with the change being made so that interrupts will always land regardless of hit. Yay!

Prowl has a new icon.
After some very frustrating weeks of wipes we finally got Al’Akir down! It’s been a difficult time for the guild, we’ve lost a several members (including one of our raid leaders) due to this bad boy, but now we can finally breathe a sigh of relief and start working on Nefarian. We got a couple of tries in last night, and it certainly seems like a lot more fun than Al’Akir, even if the fight might be a lot harder.
After a couple of wipe nights we finally managed to get Cho’gall down with 9/25 raid members standing :D It certainly wasn’t an easy kill, but we didn’t have nearly as much trouble as we did with Ascendant Council… The guild is now 10/12, and it’s sooo much fun to finally be back in the game and raiding again after going through a very difficult time in life. WoW will never be as much of a priority as it used to be, now it really is “just a game”. But it’s still fun! :D
After about a million Bloodlord Mandokir-kills, the raptor finally dropped! What I really want is the tiger, but I’m not complaining ;) The weirdest thing is that this was the first time I killed Mandokir first, so maybe there’s some truth to the old myth that the raptor drops if you kill Ohgan last… Or maybe it was just my time to get it ;)
I also got Direbrew’s Remote today, but on an alt… Oh well.
One of the best events in WoW is back, it’s time for the annual Brewfest! I’m already a Brewmaster on three of my characters, so this year I won’t burn myself out on the ram racing ;p I plan on getting Brew of the Month-club on all of them though, just because it’s so awesome. It seems Blizzard have been slacking a bit on the updates though, looks like we’re getting the 2009 Green Brewfest Stein this year as well.. Hopefully they’ll fix that. But more than anything what I really want is Direbrew’s Remote on my main. Yes I’m weird like that ;p
It be Pirates’ Day! Not a whole lot going on, but don’t forget to stop by Booty Bay and share a drink with the Dread Captain DeMeza for a quick achievement.
